Medical Logistics Coordinators are responsible for the movement of medical supplies and equipment.
They commonly work with pharmaceuticals, vaccines, surgical instruments, diagnostic equipment, and other items that need to be kept at specific temperatures or handled a certain way.
Medical logistics Coordinators may also be involved in the planning stages of these orders, shipments, receiving, and shipping if required.
JOB DUTIES:
Planning and implementing medical logistic requirements using established medical protocols, policies, and procedures.
Communicating with the Director of Medical Operations and the Deputy of Medical operations regarding requirements for classes, culex's, and med lanes.
Managing supply inventories of medications, equipment, and other materials used in instruction/classes.
Ensuring that all records are properly maintained and organized, including paper records and electronic records such as those stored on computer databases or Microsoft Teams Channels.
Performing administrative tasks such as preparing purchase orders to replenish inventory, processing invoices, and updating inventory records.
Develop and implement efficient systems for tracking and managing medical inventory.
Monitor stock levels and place orders for new supplies as needed.
Work with vendors to negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules.
Track and report on medical supply usage trends.
SKILLS:
Strong written and oral communication skills Excellent multitasking skills Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Excellent problem-solving skills Detail-oriented and highly organized Adequate knowledge of medical terminology and equipment.
Purchasing skills preferred.
Knowledgeable about learning management systems, instructional design, and e-learning platforms Proficiency in word processing and presentation software EDUCATION AND WORK
Experience:
3-5 years in medical or related field Medical terminology usage Medical equipment knowledge CLEARANCE:
United States Citizen.
Must submit to Background check and drug testing.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
